Water & Earth Systems

We help you secure water resources, protect ecosystems, and make land-use decisions with confidence. Our work improves long-term resilience while reducing risks from drought, flooding, and pollution.

Aquifer Recharge

Our team combines cutting-edge hydrogeophysics expertise with community-centered approaches to deliver multibenefit managed aquifer recharge (MAR) solutions. We integrate tTEM surveys, geospatial decision-support tools, and participatory frameworks to design projects that simultaneously address groundwater sustainability, climate resilience, and socioeconomic prosperity. With proven experience across California’s Central Valley and expertise in agricultural land transitions, we help communities and farmers achieve water security while supporting rural economies and well-being.

Environmental Monitoring

Our team of experts has wide experience in environmental monitoring, from developing measuring devices to applying state-of-the-art software solutions. We are experienced monitoring water, air and gases, habitat, and socioeconomic indicators. For example, we can provide bioacoutics monitoring combined with camera traps to assess changes in wildlife habitat to demonstrate the success of a project, or what it needs to become successful. We also monitor air quality, especially PM 2.5; water quality, especially nitrate and other pollutants; and social indicators to conduct Community needs assessments.

Spatial Tools

Our innovative approaches to using spatial online tools can help guide smarter, more profitable land and water decisions that promote well-being and prosperity. In particular, we use our non-extractive community engagement to assess community needs, and combined with our economic analyses, we are able to create decision-support tools that address local and regional needs informed first-hand by local interested groups and science.
